The ‘outdoor capital of the UK’ is surrounded by wonderful forests. You’ll find great views, stunning picnic spots and exciting mountain bike routes.

There are lots of waymarked trails where you can get incredible views of Ben Nevis without the long ascent.

A beautiful glen with an ancient hillfort and stunning views of Britain’s highest mountain.

Glen Righ

A waterfall wonderland with a total of eight to discover. Glen Righ is also a great place to see red squirrels. We have a special accessible viewing area by the car park to give you the best chance of seeing them leap through the trees.

Leanachan

The forest roads here are popular with walkers, cyclists, runners and horse riders. This is an active working forest, so please check the webpage for the latest information on timber operations.

North Face

A waymarked trail will give you a viewpoint to the wild northern slopes of Carn Mor Dearg and Ben Nevis. Look up to the towering cliffs and see if you can see any climbers scaling the North face of ben.
