Prolonged wet weather has caused a large landside resulting in substantial damage on the hillside at NN 0426 5759 Allt na h- innsig.
Embraced by the mountain horseshoe of Beinn a'Bheithir (the mountain of the thunderbolt), this forest is an ideal starting point for some popular hillwalking routes in Scotland. Just a short walk from the car park will bring you to some wonderful views over Loch Leven.
The routes through the forest are good to explore on foot, bike or horse. An easy ride along a forest road will take you to St John’s church, 2 miles to the east, near Ballachulish village.
The nearest public toilets, cafés and shops are in Ballachulish village.

There is no charge to park in this car park. Please park with care and consideration. In particular please park in designated parking areas only and do not block entrances or gates.
From the roundabout south of Ballachulish bridge take the A828 turning signposted for Oban. Follow this road for 1 mile, passing the golf course, then turning left onto a road signposted for 'Glen Achulish'. The car park is at the end of this road, ½ mile from the turning.
