Senior Digital Manager

Salary: £49,978 - £54,412 plus 28.97% employer pension contribution into defined benefits scheme 

Location: Flexible in Scotland

We’re looking for a digital communications professional to deliver our digital and social media plan.   

You’ll be responsible for the FLS digital estate to ensure it is delivering, and is reflective of the collaborative work we do to deliver on FLS Corporate Plan.  You will also manage our external digital agency. 

 

Foresters

Salary: £34,362 - £36,658 plus 28.97% employer pension contribution into defined benefits scheme 

Location: Inverness – will consider other areas in North Region

Terms: Full time, 35 hours per week, permanent.

Our Foresters are responsible for planning and managing programmes of work including planting, harvesting and maintaining forests. The teams also manage habitats and visitor attractions whilst ensuring efficient timber supply to customers. The three posts included in this recruitment are Harvesting focussed but we welcome applications from people interested in Forest Management positions, there may be other opportunities available in the near future. 

The North Region team of 135 people manage almost 137,000 ha of land, with huge variety and potential, spread all the way from Cairngorms to Skye in the West and Caithness in the North. These roles will enable the region to deliver a felling programme of 550k m and 1000ha of restocking. 

To be successful in this role you will have experience in forestry or related land management work and managing teams. 

   

Peatland Technical Advisor

Salary: £42,467 - £45,735 plus 28.97% employer pension contribution into defined benefits scheme 

Location: Flexible in Scotland

Terms: Full time, 35 hours per week, permanent.

You’ll lead on technical advice for peatland restoration, working closely with regional teams, ecologists, and foresters to support large-scale projects funded by Scottish Government Peatland ACTION. You’ll also contribute to land management planning, infrastructure assessments, and national contract delivery, while promoting best practice across the organisation.

We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in peatland restoration (particularly forest to bog projects) alongside strong ecological knowledge and excellent communication skills. You’ll be confident working across teams and advising on complex environmental projects.

Forestry Worksite Supervisor

Salary: £31,611 - £33,125 plus 28.97% pension contributions into a defined benefits scheme

Location: North region (location flexible)

Terms: Full time, 35 hours per week, fixed term

Closing Date: 30 November 2025

This is a field-based role, supporting operational teams and contractors on site. Worksite Supervisors assist with contract management, mapping, and planning updates. Ensuring all work meets Health, Safety, Environmental, and UKWAS standards, while helping deliver climate and biodiversity objectives and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. 

To be successful in this role you will need experience in forestry or land-based operations and an understanding of managing health, safety and wellbeing.


GIS Technician

Salary: £31,611 - £33,125 plus 28.97% employer pension contribution into defined benefits scheme 

Location: Durris

Terms: Full time, 35 hours per week, permanent. 

Closing date: 12 November 2025

Working alongside other GIS technicians, this role contributes to improving our data, systems and ensuring accurate spatial planning. The postholder will collaborate closely with the Programme Manager, delivering critical insights to support the development of timber harvesting, woodland creation, civil engineering, environmental, and survey programmes.
