The Glen Nevis land management plan was approved on 20August 2015 and covers the period from 2015 to 2025.

The land around Glen Nevis comprises 2,521 hectares of woodland and open hill to the south and east of Fort William. It faces the principal approach to Ben Nevis and the final sections of the West Highland Way pass through the forest. The area comprises around 1,000 hectares of commercial forest, remnants of native woodland and native Scots pine and 1,500 hectares of open hill and mountain.
