Fort Augustus forest design plan
The Fort Augustus Forest Design Plan (FDP) was approved by the Highland & Islands Conservancy on 7 October 2014. The Plan covers all FLS forests and land holdings located immediately west of Loch Ness - from Fort Augustus to Drumnadrochit - as well as in Glen Moriston, a total area of 9,887 hectares. The Plan contains detailed management proposals for a period of 10 years and approval expires on 6 October 2024.

Update 2021: In 2021 we conducted a mid-term review during which we’ve made some changes to the Plan. Overall objectives have remained unchanged but some individual felling and restock coupes have changed. The review documents and maps can be found below.
