Drynachan Forest extends over an area of 785 hectares and lies on the western shore of Loch Oich immediately to the North of Invergarry in the Great Glen. The forest stretches from 32m to 200m above sea level. The bulk of the conifers on the lower slopes were established around 1960. This age class has been broken down by felling/restock operations during both the 1990’s and the 2000’s.
