Peaceful forest roads with fine views over Newton Stewart

Head for this quiet area of forest near Newton Stewart for great views. Unmarked forest trails link up to the white Larg Hill Trail, allowing for a welcome diversion for coffee and cake at Kirroughtree Forest Café.

The wide forest roads here make this an ideal place for horse-riding. There's room in the car park for a couple of horse boxes.
