The following notices are in effect at this location.

  1. Closures

    • Mountain access routes update: Kilbo path is open and the Corrie Fee path is open - please be aware of timber lorries using the forest road. All our other waymarked trails remain closed due to storm damage.

    • Dounalt road is closed due to forestry works for six months. Please see diversion notices onsite for Jocks Road. A steep crossfall with a narrow uneven surface forms part of the diversion.

    • The Capel Road Track is blocked with trees at OS Grid Ref: NO 2841 7717. This may be bypassed by walking along the forest boundary wall between NO 2834 7763 to NO 2872 7771. Conditions on this alternative route are steep, rocky and rough underfoot.

  2. Partial closure

    Glen Doll Car Park will be partially closed from 24 August 2026 for a period of up to 3 months due to riverbank stabilisation works and essential repair works. Please use the overflow and top end of the car park during this time.

  3. Trail closed

    South Esk Trail is closed due to storm damage.

  4. Trail closed

    White Water Trail is closed due to storm damage.

  5. Trail closed

    Dounalt Trail is closed due to storm damage.

Ticks

Ticks can carry Lyme disease, which can lead to long-term illness. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them quickly.

Open water

There is open water at this site. Watch children closely, wear a life jacket if you go in the water, and do not drink alcohol near or in water.
