The following notices are in effect at this location.

  1. Forestry works

    • Please be aware that as of 14 October, following Storm Amy, the Arrochar Trail is closed as it is blocked in places by fallen trees. We will have the trees removed and the trail reopened as soon as safely possible.

    • We are currently felling trees infected with Phytophthora ramorum at Cruach Tairbeirt. There are also road building works taking place. Please be aware of timber trucks and construction traffic on the forest road network.

      Please remember to clean wheels, boots and paws before and after visiting the forest to help us 'Keep It Clean'.

  2. Arrochar Trail closed

    Please be aware that as of 14 October, following Storm Amy, the Arrochar Trail is closed as it is blocked in places by fallen trees.  

    We will have the trees removed and the trail reopened as soon as safely possible.

Forestry works

You may find tree felling, road building and timber lorries here. Keep safe and don't enter closed areas. Always follow signs and instructions.

Open water

There is open water at this site. Watch children closely, wear a life jacket if you go in the water, and do not drink alcohol near or in water.

Ticks

Ticks can carry Lyme disease, which can lead to long-term illness. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them quickly.
