The following notices are in effect at this location.

1. Works affecting trails

   Balfour Beatty has commenced work in the immediate vicinity of the Firetower Mountain Bike Trail at Achnabreac. This is a large project involving heavy machinery.
   
   All sections of Firetower Mountain Bike Trail will be closed for the duration to ensure visitor safety.
   
   Walking tracks will be unaffected but please refer to the onsite notice boards that can be found around the car parks for updates.

2. Harvesting work on site

   We're harvesting within proximity of the car park. Harvesting teams start work each day at 6:00am which may disturb your visit.

   Alternative Stay the Night facilities are available at Ardcastle. 

3. Firetower Mountain Bike Trail closed

   All sections of Firetower Mountain Bike Trail will be closed for the duration of the Balfour Beatty work.

You may find tree felling, road building and timber lorries here. Keep safe and don't enter closed areas. Always follow signs and instructions.

Ticks

Ticks can carry Lyme disease, which can lead to long-term illness. Check for ticks after your visit and remove them quickly.
